At a glance
A quick guide. The full sections below explain the details.
- Represent your institution with permission and accurate information.
- Your signed agreement defines paid services, fees and deliverables.
- Admissions decisions remain with your institution.
Scope and acceptance
These terms apply to the UniSeek institutional website and its recruitment, marketing, enquiry and partnership services. “You” means a university, college or other education institution, or a representative using the services on its behalf. “UniSeek” means the institutional services provider identified in your service agreement or engagement correspondence.
By using the website, you agree to these website terms. You must have authority before entering a service arrangement or submitting information on behalf of an institution. If you do not agree, discontinue use and contact us about any existing engagement.
A signed service agreement, order form or data processing agreement governs the services it covers and takes precedence over these general terms if there is a conflict. Browsing this website or requesting a demo does not itself create a paid partnership.
Institutional authority and accurate information
You are responsible for ensuring that information supplied by your institution is accurate, current, lawful and approved for its intended use. Tell UniSeek promptly when material details change, and review listings and campaign materials before approving publication.
- Provide truthful details about recognition, accreditation, programmes, entry requirements, fees, scholarships, deadlines and refund rules.
- Use only names, logos, images, testimonials and other materials you are authorised to provide.
- Nominate authorised contacts and protect any account credentials or integration access provided under your agreement.
- Do not impersonate another institution or imply regulatory approval or a partnership that has not been granted.
Services and admissions decisions
UniSeek supports institutional visibility, student engagement, recruitment campaigns, reporting and agreed operational workflows. The availability, implementation and scope of each service depend on the agreed package, supported integrations and written deliverables.
Your institution remains responsible for assessing eligibility, checking original credentials where necessary, issuing offers, awarding scholarships, handling tuition and refunds, and complying with its academic and regulatory obligations. Immigration authorities make visa decisions. A lead, enquiry, verification result or recommendation is not an admission or visa approval.
Lead volume, campaign conversion, enrolment, revenue and processing times are not guaranteed unless a specific commitment and remedy are expressly included in a signed agreement.
Fees, payments, cancellation and refunds
The accepted order form or service agreement must specify fees, currency, applicable taxes, payment dates, campaign budgets, any success-fee calculation, and the services included. Third-party advertising spend and optional add-ons require agreement before they are incurred.
Website packages and estimates are informational until confirmed in writing. Renewal, cancellation, refund eligibility and any committed expenditure follow the signed agreement and applicable law. If a term has not been agreed, request written clarification before placing an order or making payment.
A demo request does not authorise a charge. Your institution must separately communicate its own tuition, application-fee and student-refund policies to applicants.
Acceptable use
Use the website and services lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- Upload false, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing or unlawful content, or submit forged academic or institutional records.
- Harvest or resell student contact details, send unsolicited bulk messages, or use enquiries outside the disclosed recruitment purpose.
- Attempt unauthorised access, bypass access controls, introduce malware, or disrupt the website or another user’s systems.
- Scrape personal data or redistribute restricted reports, datasets or platform content without permission.
- Use automated scores to make unlawful or discriminatory admissions decisions.
Student data and privacy obligations
Our Privacy Policy explains personal information handling. Before supplying student, applicant or staff information, your institution must have a lawful basis, give the required notices, obtain consent where required, and use an approved transfer method. Do not include passports, financial records or sensitive student information in a general demo enquiry.
Where UniSeek processes student records on your institution’s instructions, the parties must agree their roles, permitted purposes, security requirements, subprocessors, retention, deletion and international transfers in an appropriate data processing agreement before that processing begins.
Access to an enquiry does not grant unrestricted marketing rights. Respect withdrawal of consent, marketing objections, confidentiality and applicable education-record requirements. Neither these terms nor a partnership badge independently establishes compliance with a particular privacy framework.
Ownership and permitted use of content
Your institution retains ownership of the content it supplies. You grant UniSeek a non-exclusive permission to host, format, reproduce and display that content only as needed to deliver the services and campaigns you authorise. Public testimonials, case studies and logo use outside those services require separate permission.
UniSeek and its licensors retain rights in their website design, software, branding, tools and original reports. You may read and use publicly available resources for internal institutional evaluation, but may not resell, misattribute or republish protected material without permission. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners.
Confidentiality and third-party services
Each party should use the other’s non-public commercial and operational information only for the agreed engagement, restrict access to people who need it, and protect it with reasonable care. Disclosures required by law and information already lawfully public are exceptions. Any signed confidentiality agreement takes precedence.
External advertising platforms, CRM systems, education agents and linked websites operate under their own terms. Integrations may require separate licences and permissions. A third-party reference does not create an endorsement, agency relationship or guarantee of availability.
Availability, suspension and ending services
The website may be interrupted for maintenance, security or events beyond reasonable control. Any uptime or support commitment must be stated in the service agreement.
UniSeek may restrict access or remove content where reasonably necessary to address unlawful activity, security risks, material misuse or a material breach. Where practical, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Urgent protective action may be immediate.
Notice periods, outstanding payments, return or deletion of institutional data, and transition assistance on termination follow the relevant agreement and applicable legal retention duties. Ending an engagement does not remove rights or obligations that have already arisen.
Liability and rights preserved by law
Public website content is provided for general information with reasonable care, but may contain errors or become outdated. Verify material information before relying on it. The Disclaimer explains specific limits of forecasts, examples and third-party information.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, UniSeek is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost anticipated enrolments or profits arising from reliance on general website information. Liability for contracted services, including any agreed cap, is governed by the signed agreement.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any responsibility or remedy that applicable law does not allow the parties to exclude or limit. These terms do not remove mandatory statutory rights.
Questions, disputes and changes
Raise questions or disputes with UniSeek first so the parties can try to resolve them in good faith. Governing law and the forum for a contracted service are set out in the signed agreement; otherwise, applicable law determines them. These terms do not impose an undisclosed arbitration requirement.
We may revise these website terms and will display the revised date here. Material changes to an existing paid engagement require the notice or agreement specified in its contract and do not retrospectively alter an accepted order. Contact [email protected] for clarification or a copy of the terms relevant to your engagement.
